Flights booked and ticketed by our own team

Madina Travellers is an IATA accredited agency with offices in Barcelona and Rawalpindi. The search above returns live availability from the airlines we hold stock with, and every fare on it is one we can issue ourselves — so if something goes wrong after you have paid, the ticket is ours to fix rather than a third party’s to apologise for. Most of our flight bookings sit inside a tour package or an Umrah package, but we are happy to ticket a flight on its own.

Routes we book most

Indicative return fares in economy, based on what we ticketed over the last season. Actual prices move with the calendar — search above, or call us and we will tell you honestly whether waiting a fortnight is likely to help.

London → Islamabad

from £480 return

Direct on PIA from Heathrow, or one-stop via Doha, Dubai and Istanbul. The one-stop fares are usually the cheaper of the two and often the newer aircraft.

PIA · Qatar Airways · Emirates · Turkish Airlines

Manchester → Lahore / Islamabad

from £510 return

Manchester is the strongest regional airport for Pakistan traffic. Book eight to ten weeks out; fares in July and December roughly double.

PIA · Etihad · Qatar Airways · Gulf Air

Birmingham → Islamabad

from £530 return

One-stop via the Gulf on every carrier. We hold seats for family groups so a party of six travels together rather than split across two cabins.

Emirates · Qatar Airways · Turkish Airlines

London → Jeddah / Madinah

from £395 return

The Umrah routes. Saudia and flynas fly direct; Madinah arrivals save the four-hour road transfer from Jeddah and are worth the small premium.

Saudia · flynas · Turkish Airlines · Egyptair

London → Barcelona / Madrid

from £68 return

Short-haul Europe, ticketed the same day. Useful for adding a few private days either side of one of our escorted tours.

Iberia · Vueling · British Airways · Ryanair

Islamabad / Lahore → Europe

from PKR 195,000 return

For travellers departing Pakistan. Fare rules on these routes are strict, so we confirm visa status before ticketing to avoid a non-refundable mistake.

Turkish Airlines · Qatar Airways · Etihad

Why book through us rather than an aggregator

IATA accredited, so the ticket is ours to fix

We issue on our own IATA stock. When a schedule changes at 2am or a connection breaks, you call our office and a human reissues the ticket — you are not queueing behind a chatbot on an aggregator that only ever passed your booking on.

Baggage that matches the journey

Family trips to Pakistan and Umrah pilgrimages carry weight. We book fare classes with the baggage already included rather than the headline fare that charges £65 a bag at the gate, and we tell you the real all-in number up front.

Fares held while you decide

On most long-haul routes we can hold a fare for 24 to 72 hours without payment while a family agrees dates or a visa is confirmed. Aggregators cannot do this.

English, Urdu, Arabic and Spanish

Our offices in Barcelona and Rawalpindi are staffed in all four languages. Elderly travellers and first-time flyers get help with wheelchair assistance, special meals and seating rather than a form to fill in.

Flight booking questions

Is it cheaper to book flights through a travel agent?

Sometimes, and not always. On simple European routes an airline's own website is usually as cheap as anything. Where an agency genuinely wins is on long-haul family bookings, multi-city routings and anything involving Pakistan or Saudi Arabia, where consolidator fares and included baggage often beat the public price by £60 to £150 per passenger. We will tell you when the airline's own site is cheaper.

How far in advance should I book?

For UK to Pakistan, eight to ten weeks — and much earlier for July, August and late December, when fares can double. For Umrah in Ramadan, four to six months. For short-haul Europe, four to six weeks is usually the floor; booking six months out rarely saves anything.

Can I book flights for a family travelling on different passports?

Yes, and it is worth telling us up front. Mixed British and Pakistani passport groups need their visa and NICOP status checked before ticketing, because a routing through certain transit points can require a transit visa for one traveller and not another.

What happens if my flight is cancelled?

Call our office. Because the ticket is issued on our stock we can rebook you directly with the airline, and for UK and EU departures we handle the UK261 or EU261 compensation claim on your behalf. There is no charge for either.

Do you charge a booking fee?

No fee on tickets booked as part of a tour or Umrah package. On a standalone ticket a service fee applies and is always quoted before you pay, never added at the last screen.

Flights are usually cheaper inside a package

When the flight, the hotels and the ground transport are booked together we buy them on package terms, which is why a full itinerary often costs less than the same components bought separately.
